Father’s Day Gift Ideas: Local Love for Tampa Bay Businesses

Support local businesses and get him something he’ll enjoy. These Father’s Day gift ideas are about something tangible that represents your love of family and perhaps your love of Tampa Bay.

Craft Beer and Local Spirits

Everyone loves the craft beer scene in Tampa. Father’s Day is a great time to celebrate all that’s brewing around town. Has he ever been on board the Brew Bus? Give him an annual pass and he can enjoy the Brew Bus all year. Bring visiting guests or family with you to enjoy the Brew Bus without having to buy their tickets! This pass will give you the ability to redeem on 50 events throughout the year.

Few things say “I’m a fan of Tampa Bay’s beer scene” than wearing it proudly. Tampa Bay Brewing Company has some cool apparel and so does Cigar City Brewing. If Dad’s into music, then swing by Magnanimous Brewing on N. Florida to pick up one of their unique beer + band logo shirts (think, “Magnanimous” in the Metallica logo, for example).  Angry Chair Brewing has cool rotating apparel as well (we love their recent Tampa Bay Lightning hockey shirt design), but you’ll need to pop into the taproom to check it out.

You can also get dad a passport to try out different breweries all around the Tampa Bay area. The Tampa Bay Ale Trail Passport is $30 and runs from January 1-December 31. Visit a participating brewery and present the passport when you purchase a beer to receive a “first visit” stamp. The more breweries you visit, the more incentives you’ll get such as BOGO pints and merchandise.

Not a beer fan? Tampa is also home to some amazing distilleries where you can do a tour, tasting, and purchase bottles to take home. Dark Door Spirits, Florida Cane Distillery, and Kozuba & Sons Distillery offer an array of vodkas, bourbons, and gin. For rum drinkers, 82 West Distilling, Tampa Bay Rum Company, and St. Petersburg Distillery bottle up rum that even Jose Gaspar and his krewe would be proud of.

Gourmet Grilling for Father’s Day

If he wants to fire up the grill to celebrate Father’s Day in Tampa, then grab a bunch of goodies from these awesome gourmet grocery stores throughout Tampa.

A stroll through one of the many Tampa Area Farmers Markets is a great way to get some fresh produce to go with the grilling goodness.
