There are several places to go in the area and more appearing every year. Ziplining is a great way to spend time outdoors and see the sights from a whole new perspective. Where to Go Ziplining in Tampa Bay?
Treehoppers Aerial Adventure Park
Treehoppers is an excellent place to start. It is the largest aerial adventure park in Central Florida with 8 courses with hundreds of different elements to explore, such as platforms, cables, wood, rope, barrels, and of course, ziplines! Each course is color coded signifying the levels of difficulty: beginner to advanced. The color coded courses allow you to travel the park unguided. Fear not though! There are park monitors and guides throughout to assist if the need arises.
There is a safety and orientation class with every general admission. Each adventure is three hours long and you can go different hours of the day depending on their available schedule. Admission is $55.95 for ages 12+ and if you really love your experience, there are now memberships available! Reservations are only for groups 10 or more. Call ahead if you’re a small group and they can let you know if there is a wait.
Empower Adventures is an exciting zipline adventure park in Oldsmar, Florida. There are five different packages that you can purchase with reservations. Their Zipline Canopy Tour is two hours long, full of 5 separate lines and a 200 ft. suspension bridge. If that is not enough adrenaline for you, consider the Extreme Zipline Tour, a 3.5 hours long adventure with 5 lines and 10+ aerial elements, including leaps of faith where you have to trust the line and fly through the air to safety. Empower Adventures also features a Midnight Canopy Tour. The Midnight Canopy tour books up fast and is only on select nights of the week.
Each tour is guided by a trained professional and varies by difficulty. No need to bring your camera; your guides take pictures of you and your friends throughout the adventure. Pricing depends on the package that you choose, but start at $69 per adult. They do offer a senior citizens, military, and first responders discount with a valid ID. Reservations are required for the Zip Line Canopy Tours and select packages.
TreeUmph! Adventure Course
Located in Bradenton, FL,TreeUmph! is 10 football fields in size and houses 5 progressive courses not including the Children’s Adventure Course, Ape-Up Course. The Junior and Adult courses build up in difficulty starting at a lower elevation to the highest elevations requiring leaps of faith. All courses have a variety of different elements including suspension bridges, nets, barrels, and seesaws.
Adult tickets are $55.95 and give you access to all the junior and adult courses. Several discounts and specials when you book your reservations. It is open five days a week and closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Mosi: Sky Trail Ropes Course
If you’re not into nature, but would still like to try some ziplining, Mosi’s Sky Trail Ropes Course is a great place to check out. It is a 36-foot multi-tiered structure with several elements to explore, including ropes, bridges, ziplines, etc., all equaling up to 700 feet of adventure. The course is not included with a general admission ticket to Mosi, but can be added on for only $7. It is open Fri-Sat-Sun and is subject to weather conditions.
