It’s a busy time of year with new events, festivals, and more and we’ve got them all on our top picks of things to do this weekend in Tampa Bay!

This weekend kicks off two of our favorite events – the Florida Strawberry Festival and Gasparilla Festival of the Arts.

There are also some fun events on the horizon like St. Patrick’s Day on March 17 and Easter on March 31. If you’re looking to make plans, we can help with our guides to St. Patrick’s Day and Easter brunches.

Cirque du Soleil’s Big Top BAZZAR in St. Petersburg

  • Dates: February 22 to March 24, 2024
  • Location: Tropicana Field in St. Pete

Cirque du Soleil is making its much-anticipated return to Tampa Bay with the debut of BAZZAR, a high-energy spectacle of intrepid acrobatics, dynamic stunts, and exhilarating performances that pays homage to the entertainment company’s legacy. The fourth stop on its North American tour, the show will be presented at the Tropicana Field stadium under the iconic Big Top.

Opera Tampa: 2024 Season

Opera Tampa’s 2024 season spotlights stories worth dying for. Don Giovanni seduces conquest after conquest, Hansel and Gretel are lured into an enchanted forest and La Traviata haunts us with great love sacrificed. These timeless classics will be brought to life by acclaimed vocalists and live musical performances by The Florida Orchestra. You and your loved one can share something more important than a gift, time well spent together. Season tickets start as low as $90.

Amber Brooke Farms Strawberry Festival

  • Dates: Sat. and Sunday,  March 2 and 3, 10 am-5 pm
  • Location: Amber Brooke Farms Williston (near Ocala)

Venture to Amber Brooke Farms Williston for their signature Strawberry Filled event. Featuring all things Strawberry, including Strawberry shortcake, strawberry pie contests, chocolate-dipped strawberries, themed merchandise, u-pick strawberries and so much more. This is an event that is ripe for your attendance.

Nude Nite Art Show

  • Dates: Thursday through Saturday, March 7-9 
  • Location: Coastal Creative, 2201 1st Ave. S, St. Petersburg, FL 33712

Nude Nite is a national art exhibition held in a 25,000 sq ft space showing over 200 of the best figurative works from artists across the U.S. Adding world-class body-themed entertainment, DJ music, and immersive experiences is what makes Nude Nite different than your typical ‘art gallery.’

Sunset Yoga in the Vines

12th Annual Music On The Bay

  • Wednesday, February 28 – Sunday, March 3
  • Whiskey Joe’s Barefoot Beach in Tampa

Music On The Bay (MOTB) is a 4-day Parrot Head Trop-Rock Music Festival, with music that blends other genres including, Caribbean, Tropical/Island, Latin, and Rock Reggae, with roots in the beach music scene. In addition, there will be vendors with “parrotphanalia” and other fantastic items for sale on site.

12th Annual Ybor City Architecture Hop

  • Thursday, February 29 from 5-9:30 pm
  • J.C. Newman Cigar Company in Tampa

You will be transported from stop to stop on rubber-wheel Jolley Trolleys running on a continuous loop from 5:00 pm – 9:30 pm. See all 6 buildings or enjoy the hop at your leisure by hopping off the trolley at those that peak your curiosity. Your adventure begins at the J.C. Newman Cigar Company Send-Off Party. Be sure to tour Newman first, as they will shut their doors at 7pm and join hoppers on the rest of the tour. You will enjoy a delicious treat and upbeat music to start your engines before you embark on an evening of fun and Ybor City hospitality.  

Florida Strawberry Festival

Each spring, the Florida Strawberry Festival rolls out the red carpet to welcome visitors from throughout the Sunshine State and the world. Guests come from near and far to enjoy exhibits of agriculture, commerce, industry, livestock, fine arts, horticulture, and crafts. The fabric of American life is woven into the Festival through social events, contests, youth developmental programs, top-name entertainment, and parades with glorious floats and high-stepping marching bands.

Dooley Groves U-Pick

  • Friday, March 1-Sunday, March 3 from 10 am-4 pm
  • Dooley Groves in Ruskin

Dooley Groves is currently offering u-pick Rio Red Grapefruit daily from 10 am-4 pm. This is a must-experience! Be sure to visit their website here to learn more details on what’s available.

Sunset Zipline Adventures

  • Friday, March 1 and Saturday, March 2 at 3:30 pm
  • Empower Adventures in Oldsmar
