We all love a night out at a bar with an Irish name filled with good beer and good friends. St. Patty’s Day gives us an excuse to stay out a little later and celebrate a little more, though, at our favorite places. Most of the bay is celebrating on Saturday, March 14th, so If you are at a loss for what to do on Tuesday the 17th, or in the days before, check out the list below.

2020 Mayor’s O’Green fest March 14, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Watch the Hillsborough River turn brilliant green in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day. Children can enjoy free activities and crafts at the Kids Tent, which will include family fun from Busch Gardens, The Florida Aquarium, MOSI and more!

Don’t just get lucky this St. Patty’s Day, be Lucked UP! This bar crawl will be at St. Petersburg and will feature some of its most popular bars. Make sure to check out the website as you can get up to $10 off door price. Also, by downloading the Bar Crawl Nation app you will be able to see the specials for all the venues.
Check out another lucky bar crawl option with Lucky’s St. Patrick’s Day Crawl. Because of all of the bar options, there is typically no set schedule or agenda. This allows each bar to stay busy, but not too busy so that all the guests on the crawl can get their drink… or two! After the crawl, stick around for the after party from 10 p.m.- Midnight. Currently, the event is scheduled for March 14 from 4 p.m. – midnight.
St. Patrick’s Day Run March 14, times vary
Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day by joining the 3rd Annual Leprechaun’s 5k, 10k, Challenge, and Kid’s Fun Run. Only those who dare to complete both the 5k and 10k runs will pass the leprechaun’s challenge and will be the worthy winners of 3 medals. Kids are welcome to participate in the 100m Fun Run at AI Lopez Park!
Shamrock River Festival March 14, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Come to the Water Works Park in Tampa to be part of the Shamrock River Festival. There will be a variety of foods for you to taste from vendors and food trucks and irish-themed treats. Support local businesses by purchasing their boho art, handmade items, plants and much more!
Saint Patrick’s Night Parade – Rock Concert- Scream Machine Band March 14, 9:30 p.m.
During your visit to Ybor City for their St. Patrick’s Parade, make sure you stop by Gaspar’s Grotto for live music and entertainment. Gaspar’s Grotto is at the heart of the parade and they are open to party with everyone who wants to join, so admission is free. This year they invited Tampa’s rock band, Scream Machine!
In honor of St. Patrick’s Day, the Aprons Cooking School will host an Irish brunch at their Tampa location. This brunch class will be taught by an expert Aprons staff member and will include a variety of non-traditional dinner options!
St. Paddy’s Day Street Party 2020 March 17
Join the Wesley Chapel community for their 12th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Celebration! The event runs from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m., but it is +21 after 6 p.m. The Street party will have drink specials and live music; bands are TBA. This event is dog friendly so feel free to bring your canine friend with you!
St. Patrick’s Festival in Clearwater March 17-18, times vary
Enjoy Irish live music, food, dancers, bagpipers and much more at the St. Patrick’s Festival in Clearwater. Some great Irish bands such as Wyndbreaker Irish Band, The Black Honkeys and The Bearded Brothers band will be featured at the festival. Bring your kids as there will be many kid-friendly fun activities. Prices range from $5 to $10.
