Finding new, exciting places to eat can be tough; especially when you have lived in the same area for many years! The popular places become mundane, the chain restaurants become a last resort, and the struggle for finding different places to try is real. Luckily for us Tampanians, a newer restaurant has re-inspired local foodies and is bringing a whole new aesthetic to the Tampa area! What was once the Platt Street Borough is now Thee Treehouse! Yes, “Thee” with two e’s.

Why Thee Treehouse?

What sets Thee Treehouse apart is the beautiful jungle-themed interior with their innovative scratch kitchen! Thee Treehouse promotes healthy options as well as comfort-food classics for the perfect scratch kitchen experience. Perhaps the restaurant’s most endearing quality is their support of “One Tree Planted”, a global reforestation non-profit based out of Vermont. Thee Treehouse pledges that with every “Herbaliser” cocktail sold, they will in turn plant one tree (order all the Herbalisers, people!)

The Atmosphere

When you step into Thee Treehouse, your semblance of Platt street is gone as you are immediately exposed to wild foliage, exposed wood, and rope swings. With beautiful artwork, animal sculptures, and murals, Thee Treehouse is perhaps one of the most visually stimulating places in the area to enjoy a meal…or two!

The Main Menu

Due to the nature of a scratch kitchen, all of the food is quite literally made from scratch! Try out a Cheese and Charcuterie Board off of their Main Menu and sink your teeth into delicious seasonal meats and cheeses, tapenade, fig jam, and toast points! Yum. (Another cool feature to their menu is the clear labeling of Gluten Free, Vegan, Vegetarian, and Keto friendly menu options!)

For a main dish off of the Main Menu check out their Sous Vide Chicken Breast which features roasted sweet potato, grilled peaches, and pan jus. OR, check out their “We Don’t Give a Fork” section which features hand-held options like their PB&J Grilled Cheese with homemade PB, fig jam, brie cheese, and sourdough bread!

Thee Treehouse Brunch Menu

Their brunch menu is so fun and there is so much to choose from! Probably one of the coolest starter options is their version of sushi…Doughnut Sushi. Order their Doughnut Sushi and indulge in fresh strawberries and bananas all rolled up sushi style with delicious Nutella inside. Another different take on a delicious classic is the Savory Waffle Gravlax. This item features an everything waffle with smoked salmon and dill and chive cream cheese, talk about an umami overload! Another perk to their brunch menu is their Bottomless Mimosa, Bloody Mary, and Sangria options for only $16!

Happy Hour Menu

Happy Hour at Thee Treehouse occurs every Tuesday through Friday from 4 p.m.-7 p.m. with $3 house wines, Lager, and $4 Vodka. While you sip your adult beverages, order a round of Chips and Queso or Crispy Brussel Sprouts to satiate your hunger!

Late Night Menu

Sometimes life happens and you just need Crispy Brussel Sprouts at 11 p.m. That’s totally okay at Thee Treehouse with their Late Night Menu! You can order off of this select menu any time after 11 p.m. until close! Once you clear your plate that was once full of Brussels, order a Rack of Wings, Borough Fried Chicken, or whatever else your late night hunger pangs crave.

Whether you’re in the mood for a round of drinks, delicious food, something different, or a cool new spot to frequent, Thee Treehouse has something for you! With mouthwatering menu options and handcrafted cocktails, this spot is a great new addition to the Tampa area! Be sure to check their website weekly for new events and entertainment options as Thee Treehouse always has something going on each week!
