New! Pier Teaki
Teak is a brand new, top pick for date night dinners. Located at the new St. Pete Pier at The Point on the third floor, the bright and colorful upscale restaurant features scenic views of the water and Downtown St. Pete. After dinner, head upstairs to the rooftop tiki bar, Pier Teaki, for a tropical nightcap.
There’s a brand new urban district coming to Tampa in 2021! Midtown Tampa is a sprawling development combining residential, retail, dining and entertainment into one new walkable hub locals will love. Highlights include a food hall (an expansion of The Hall on Franklin), multiple restaurants, a central green space which will host concerts and events, and an Aloft & Element dual-branded hotel home to Tampa’s newest rooftop bar. Sal Y Mar is now open featuring Latin cuisine, 4,900 square feet of indoor and outdoor seating, and 360-degree views of the Tampa, Westshore, and St. Petersburg skylines. The space includes an open terrace, sophisticated and earthy coastal decor, hanging hammock chairs and more. The concept is inspired by the Riviera Maya town of Tulum.
Take in the spectacular views of downtown as you venture to the rooftop of Armature Works to M.Bird. Treat yourself to craft cocktails and small plates while you enjoy the view. Rain or shine, M.Bird has a covered patio to keep the party going. If you want more to eat, head downstairs where a plethora of options from multiple vendors awaits. Friday nights are especially fun, when the venue turns 21+ after 6pm and a live DJ provides entertainment from 8pm-midnight.

Find another restaurant and rooftop bar pairing in SoHo at Bulla Gastrobar’s Luna Lounge. With a great happy hour Monday-Sunday from 4-7 pm and a huge tapas menu, Bulla is a great place to hang out or for a date. The rooftop bar, aka Luna Lounge, is located on the fifth floor of the building. Take in beautiful views of downtown Tampa while sharing a huge pitcher of sangria.
Feeling beachy? The brand new Cambria Hotel St. Petersburg-Madeira Beach Marina just opened its doors in early December. Besides the convenient location near John’s Pass Village & Boardwalk in Madeira Beach Town Center, the new 125-room property also features a stunning, open-air rooftop bar with beachfront views. We’re thinking this would be the perfect pitstop after a beach day to sip on a cocktail while watching the sun set over the Gulf. Ember Lounge is currently open from noon – 10pm.
The menu includes an assortment of tasty light bites (think sliders, mini wonton tacos, scallops, flatbreads and more) plus signature cocktails named after local landmarks like Sunken Gardens (vodka, lime, cucumber, basil, celery bitters, club soda) and Johns Pass (bourbon, early grey simple strip, aromatic and cherry bitters).
For a fun night out, check out Topgolf Tampa’s Rooftop Terrace Bar. There is a beautifully lit bar on the rooftop complete with seating, fire pits and a stage. You can order from the full menu of delicious eats and enjoy live music on the roof on select nights. This is the perfect stop after a few hours of golf with friends in one of the temperature-controlled bays.
Another hotel bar, Rox Rooftop Bar is situated atop the chic Current Hotel and is the tallest rooftop bar in the city. Take in sweeping 360-degree views of Tampa Bay while sipping on a signature cocktail inside or out on the terrace.
Located atop the Red Mesa Cantina in St. Pete lies DeSanto Rooftop Bar. Enjoy a beautiful setting on the roof with stunning westward views alongside delicious handcrafted cocktails, beer, and wine as you take in the beauty that St. Pete has to offer. The Canopy at the Birchwood is open day and night on the roof of the Birchwood Inn, providing cabanas, fire pits and an outdoor living room feel. They serve appetizers, flatbreads, sandwiches and signature cocktails. However, if you desire a wider selection of menu offerings, you can dine downstairs at the Birch and Vine restaurant. During the day visitors are treated to gorgeous views of Baystreet and Tampa Bay. At night the rooftop transforms into a happening place to see and be seen. Tip: visit during happy hour weekdays from 4-7pm for drink deals.
Located above the Fenway Hotel in Dunedin is the Hi-Fi Rooftop Bar. Inspired by the original Fenway speakeasy which was located in the building’s basement, the modern establishment now rests high above its surroundings with breathtaking views and sunsets. Enjoy delectable small plates as you delight in perfectly curated cocktails. There’s typically live jazz which makes for the perfect date night ambiance.
This fun outdoor deck has 360 degree views of Pass-A-Grille and St. Pete Beach. The claim to fame of this well-known rooftop hotspot is the unimpeded views of daily sunsets. After the sun has gone down get ready to enjoy live entertainment and casual beach fare. If you prefer a laid back, come as you are atmosphere, this is the place for you.
Right on top of The Epicurean Hotel and across from Bern’s Steak House sits the EDGE Rooftop Cocktail Lounge. Besides the amazing view, the cocktails are on point and include everything from the Mai Epic Mai Tai made with the Epicurean’s own rum blend to the Señorita, a tequila-based concoction topped off with agave, lime and a jalapeño-fresno reduction. The cocktail bar is currently open Fridays and Saturdays from 5pm-midnight.
The Karol Hotel is a new property in the St.Pete/Clearwater area that also boasts a beautiful rooftop bar. While most rooftop bars are best enjoyed in the evening and cooler months, Vantage is climate-controlled and comfortable year round. This rooftop roost is located on the hotel’s 12th floor and overlooks Old Tampa Bay, offering scenic views of the Tampa skyline. Menu highlights include an assortment of local craft beers and bright cocktails like the Lavender Lemonade made with gin.

Most locals know about Ulele’s riverside views, but not many are aware of the rooftop terrace overlooking the beer garden. This is a beautiful outdoor space at the Tampa Riverwalk restaurant known for a menu inspired by indigenous people of Florida and using fresh locally sourced ingredients whenever possible.
