Rooftop Bars in the Tampa Area

Rooftop Bars

Nothing says romance like watching the sunset over a skyline or the ocean. Tampa is full of great spots for food and drink, but it’s nice to switch up the view every once in a while. Take the stairs or elevator up a few floors to just one of the rooftop bars in Tampa and see the city from a different angle while enjoying a drink or two.

Edge Social Drinkery

1207 South Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606

Right on top of The Epicurean Hotel and across from Bern’s Steakhouse sits the Edge Social Drinkery. With cocktails like “First World Problems” and “Side Chick,” this bar has a little something for everyone with an amazing view. The cocktail bar is open from 5pm to 11pm Monday through Thursday and 5pm to 1am on Friday and Saturday.

Fly Bar and Restaurant

Relocating to Downtown Tampa early 2019!

Fly Bar was a great scene on Franklin Street – particularly their awesome rooftop bar.  Sadly (or happily) Fly Bar is moving to a downtown location, expected to reopen early 2019.  The newly relocated Fly Bar should have everything we’ve loved about the original Fly Bar – and more!  Hopefully they’ll find a way to incorporated another rooftop bar from their new downtown location, too!  Fly Bar was well known for their focus on good food and fresh ingredients – way before the whole fresh/farm to table craze became popular!  Can’t wait to see what the do!

Bulla Gastrobar: Luna Lounge

930 S. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606

Another restaurant and rooftop bar pairing opened recently in SoHo and is already buzzing daily. With a great happy hour everyday from 5pm to 7pm and a huge tapas menu, Bulla is a great place to hang out or for a date. The rooftop bar, aka Luna Lounge, is located on the fifth floor of the building and has beautiful views of downtown Tampa that you can enjoy over a huge pitcher of Sangria.

The Canopy at the Birchwood

340 Beach Dr. NE, St. Petersburg, FL 33701

Downtown St. Pete has so many cute bars and restaurants to try, but The Canopy at Birchwood is a standout because of its location: on a rooftop that overlooks the water. With signature cocktails and a menu full of delicious choices, The Birchwood is the perfect rooftop bar for a romantic night out.
