St. Patrick’s Day (Sunday, March 17, 2024) is almost here and The City of Tampa is ready to celebrate in all possible ways and we are here to help you make the most out of this beloved holiday. So, bring your walking shoes, wear green, and get ready for a beer-packed day. From classic St. Paddy’s Day events like River O’ Green to exciting bar crawls, live Irish music, and corned beef and cabbage paired with Guinness, there’s tons to choose from. Wherever you go and whatever you do, may the luck of the Irish be there with you.

Be safe this St. Paddy’s day. AAA is activating ‘Tow to Go’ for the upcoming St. Patrick’s Day weekend to prevent accidents from those who may have a little too much to drink. Tow to Go will be active from 6 pm Friday, March 15th to 6 am Monday, March 18th and is available for FREE to both AAA and non-AAA members.
When someone calls Tow to Go, AAA will dispatch a tow truck to transport the would-be impaired driver and their vehicle to a safe location within a 10-mile radius.

The BEST St. Patrick’s Day Events in Tampa Bay
River O’ Green Fest in Tampa
When: Saturday, March 16, 2024 from 11am-6pm
Where: Hillsborough River (viewing is best on the Riverwalk by Curtis Hixon Park)

The Hillsborough River is turning green! This FREE event will include dying the river green (don’t worry, it’s eco-friendly!), plus food trucks, beer, live entertainment, and family-friendly activities.
New this year, the Rough Riders St. Patrick’s Day Parade will move from Ybor to downtown Tampa to coincide with River O’Green Fest. You can catch the parade at 5pm.
We recommend getting there early, as parking will fill up quickly. Bring your friends and kids, as this is an event for everyone.
St. Paddy’s Weekend Bash at World of Beer

Armature Works is hosting its annual St. Patrick’s Day celebration on the river with live music, green beer from Stone’s Throw, frozen Irish Coffee from Tullamore Dew Irish Whiskey Pop-Up, Irish dancers, giveaways, and MORE! The river will be GREEN as part of the 2024 River O Green Fest, so there will be plenty of photo ops as well.

River O’ Green Happy Hour Cruise

Hop on board the all-new CRAFT and sail the emerald green waters of Tampa Bay! CRAFT is a fine-dining river cruise and will set sail for the first time on March 8, 2024. It will be making its inaugural appearance at the River O’ Green Fest and will be the largest vessel ever to participate in the festivities. Enjoy Irish appetizers, Irish cheese and charcuterie, dessert, specialty cocktails created by their CRAFT-ologist, and toast with Irish spirits.
Rough Riders St Patrick’s Day Parade in Downtown Tampa

The annual parade will march through Downtown Tampa this year to coincide with River O’Green Fest.
Paddle the River Green
When: Saturday, March 16, 2024. Paddle begins at 10:30 am
Where: Urban Kai (310 W. 7th Ave)
Tickets: $45 (includes gear rental) or FREE if you bring your own board. Two or more paddlers are required.
Want to be in the center of the action? Make your reservation at Urban Kai and get the chance to paddle IN the Hillsborough River as it turns into the Green River. Your reservation includes all of the gear necessary, as well as a tour guide.
Paddy Fest St. Pete

Paddy Fest St. Pete is bringing a full two days of festivities to Williams Park! The entertainment lineup includes Dunedin Pipe Band, Drunken Shrubbery, Sean Walsh, Stepdancers, and more. The food trucks will include Pamz Pizza Conez, La Strada Mobile Kitchen, Lucky’s Italian Ice, Mini Mouthful Donuts, Slammer Shop, and Wich Press Food Truck.
There will also be a Kids Zone with bounce houses, mascots Pete the Pelican and Raymond the Ray, Irish face painting, and a real life unicorn to create a magical atmosphere.
The Brass Tap’s 16th Annual St. Paddy’s Day Street Party
When: Saturday, March 16-Sunday, March 17, 2024
Where: The Brass Tap, 2000 Piazza Ave, Wesley Chapel
The fun will start at noon and won’t stop until closing! There will be live music from 4 pm-6 pm and again from 7 pm-10 pm at the outdoor stage. There will be deals on Guinness, Harp, Smithwick’s, Jameson, and Tullamore Dew. The event will be 21+ only after 6 pm.
Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day at Busch Gardens Food & Wine Festival
When: Saturday, March 16-Sunday, March 17 during park hours
Where: Busch Gardens Tampa Bay
During this weekend’s Food & Wine Festival, you can celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with Irish cuisine, including Corned Beef, Cabbage, Potatoes, and Irish Soda Bread, as well as several varieties of Irish beer, like Smithwick’s Irish Ale and 3D Irish Style Dry Cider, and Irish style hand-crafted cocktails.
Enjoy Celtic music with the Emily Ann Thompson Celtic Duo at the Coca-Cola Canopy Stage on Saturday the 16th and Redemption Road at Springs Tap Room on Sunday the 17th. You might even catch a glimpse of a Leprechaun!
Timpano Hyde Park’s Get Lucky Brunch

Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day at Timpano with a Get Lucky Brunch. There will be a DJ with raffle prizes while you can enjoy modern twists on classic favorites like Corned Beef Brisket and special cocktails like the Shamrock Shake Espresso Martini. The raffle will occur every hour from 11am-4 pm.
