Best of June: Our Favorite Tampa Bay Events for Date Night

Summer officially begins soon and we can definitely use some warm days with sunshine after a couple of months practicing social distancing. This summer will be different as many of the concerts and events we had planned to see have been canceled due to the ongoing pandemic. However, several Tampa Bay area venues have begun to reopen, so check out our top picks for both virtual and physical events in Tampa Bay for June!

June 1-7

ABC Fine Wine & Spirits Virtual Tasting
ABC is hosting a series of virtual tastings where you can interact with winemakers, distillers and leaders in the industry via Zoom seminars. Limited to 100 participants each. Scheduled tastings are as follows:

  • Teeling Irish Whiskey: Monday, June 1, 5pm
    Join Robert Caldwell, Global Brand Ambassador and mixologist for Teeling Irish Whiskey, as he discusses the history of the brand, its new innovative approaches, an in-depth tasting and cocktail strategies all the way from Ireland.
  • Patrón Tequila: Tuesday, June 2, 5pm
    Join Stephen Halpin, Manager of Trade and Education for Patrón Tequila. Enjoy Taco Tuesday with great tequila and learn how to make three tequila cocktail recipes at home: a margarita using Patrón Silver, a paloma using Patrón Reposado and an Old Fashioned using Patrón Añejo.
  • Highclere Castle Gin: Wednesday, June 3, 5pm
    Join Adam von Gootkin, Co-Founder and CEO, to learn about their award-winning gin, its history, the famous castle where the gin was originated and how to use the gin in cocktails.
  • St. Germain Liqueur: Thursday, June 4, 6pm
    Join Earlecia Gibb to learn about the brand’s history, the delicate harvest process for the product and how to elevate your libations using St. Germain.
  • Santa Julia Wines: Friday, June 5, 6pm
    Join Julia Zuccardi to learn about the family winery’s history, their organic and sustainable farming wine techniques and their wine style.

Virtual Coffee with a Curator
Wednesday, June 3, 10:30-11am
This talk will survey a selection of the most memorable symbols found in Dalí’s art, and demonstrate how he uses these symbols to create a personal language and an iconic brand. From crutches to ants to melting watches, understanding Dalí’s symbols allows a deeper experience of his art. World Oceans Day “Social Distancing Style” Cleanup
Saturday, June 6
Calling all volunteers with kayaks, canoes, paddle-boards and motor boats: you can help cleanup our local waterways! If you don’t have a water vessel, you can still participate by cleaning up a local shoreline or neighborhood. Did you know that 80% of all litter on land will end up in our waterways? By taking a proactive approach, we can all make a big impact in our community!

Run or walk at your own pace for this fundraiser benefiting Imagine our Florida. Once you sign up, you’ll receive a link to self-report your time. You can run on a treadmill, around the block, or even out in nature. You have until December 31, 2020, to complete your run.

17th Annual Save the Manatee 5K – Virtual
