Busch Gardens Christmas Town has every holiday-inspired date you could think of wrapped up in one big bow. Hold hands while looking at millions of twinkling light displays. Enjoy a holiday meal with your sweetheart then head to the theater to catch a holiday show. End the evening with a kiss under the mistletoe! Here is our guide to a magical night at Busch Gardens Christmas Town. It is open through December 31, and all you need is a general admission ticket to the park.
Busch Gardens Christmas Town Village
Christmas Town Village comes to life at 5 p.m. A bustling street with charming holiday cabins and twinkle lights will greet you. Grab a mug of hot cocoa and shop for the perfect Christmas gift from unique handmade offerings.
If you have a sweet tooth, visit to the holiday chocolatier. If adult beverages are more your style, there’s plenty of eggnog to go around! You can also check out a model train display and get an Instagram-worthy couple photo with Sam the Snowman.
Pro-Tip: Give yourself at least an hour for Christmas Town Village. The line for the hot chocolate was the longest. Once you get a mug, it is just a $1 refill.
Holiday Dining
There is holiday-inspired food everywhere you turn, so come to the park hungry. In Christmas Town Village, you’ll find sweet and savory treats like chicken and waffles, sweet potato s’mores, and red velvet cake doughnuts.
There are also special Christmas menus at select restaurants around the park. Just look for the Christmas Town signs with a list of the holiday menu items.
Pro-Tip: Purchase the Christmas Town food and beverage sampler. You get to enjoy five or ten samples of food and drink in Christmas Town Village and select restaurants. You can get multiple holiday meals with this, so it is worth it. Pricing is $34.99 for five samplers or $49.99 for ten.
Mistletoe Memories
Busch Gardens Christmas Town is the perfect spot to marvel at Christmas lights and displays. Eight million lights transform the park. Our favorite Christmas light display (it was hard to choose) would have to be Mistletoe Memories. Unlike other light displays, Mistletoe Memories is a little darker and more subdued. It is the perfect place to sneak a kiss! You’ll walk through a garden with flowers and canopies of trees filled with romantic twinkling lights.
Pro-Tip: Check out Enchanted Flamingo Valley where you’ll get the Florida-inspired holiday lights experience. Palm trees are decorated with bright pink lights next to a pond with real-life flamingos!
Sing-Along Train Ride
This is the perfect date night ice breaker! Hop on the Sing-Along Train for a 10-minute ride through the park as familiar holiday songs play. Everyone around you will be singing along, so don’t be shy. Who knows? Maybe your partner has been holding back a beautiful singing voice!
Pro-Tip: This train ride takes you through the Serengeti plains. If you ride at night, keep your eagle eye out for sleeping giraffes and rhinoceroses.
Christmas Shows
Enjoy several holiday shows around the park together. Our two favorites are the “Christmas Time Tree Show” and “Christmas on Ice.” Every 10 minutes beginning at 6 p.m., watch Christmas Town’s tree come to life with a light show timed to holiday music.
Then head to the Moroccan Palace for “Christmas on Ice.” Watch as world-class skater glide around the ice in this holiday spectacular. You’ll see jaw-dropping jumps and aerial tricks that will keep you on your toes.
Pro-Tip: Arrive at the Moroccan Theater 45 minutes before showtime to ensure a seat.
We hope you enjoy your time at Busch Gardens Christmas Town as much as we did!
