If you’ve been in Tampa Bay for a while, you might have heard about the annual Tailgate Taste Fest! This event is your perfect plan for next date night. There’s so much offered throughout the Tailgate Taste Fest that you’re sure to find lots to keep you busy and entertained all afternoon long. If you think a day at this event could be in your future, here’s what you need to know.
Tampa Bay Tailgate Taste Fest 2018
This year, the Tailgate Taste Fest will be held on October 6th at Curtis Hixon Park. From start to finish, you’ll have plenty to do. The festival will feature a food competition, live music from local bands, a corn hole tournament, and more. And if you’re a college sports fan, don’t worry about missing the game! There will be giant LED video screens that will allow you to keep up with the best college teams around even as you enjoy everything else the festival has to offer.
The Food
While at the Tampa Bay Tailgate Festival, you’ll have the opportunity to try food from several of Tampa’s best local restaurants. Whether you’re in the mood for barbecue, tacos or whatever else, you’ll have many options from at least 14 different bay area restaurants. Even if you’re not looking for a full meal, you can still get a little something from the vendors with sweets and treats!
Admission and Wristbands
The great news is that this event is free! You and your partner can make a date out of the Tampa Bay Tailgate Taste Fest without having to worry about buying tickets for admission. However, if you’re looking to try some food from any of the vendors attending, you’ll have to purchase a sampler wristband. Until October 5th, the day before the event, the 5 food sampler is $25 while the 10 food sampler is $35. On the day of, you can still buy sampler wristbands for $5 more than the current price. This is not an event you want to miss, so start planning now!
