Cupcakes & Cocktails: Valentine’s Edition

Wednesday February 13, 2019: What’s a south Tampa Valentine’s Day if you don’t at least make some whoopee. Whoopee Pies, that is!  Join Chef Beth from Cloud 9 Confections for a special south Tampa Valentine’s class making whoopee pies!  Learn to make two different kinds of pies and then create your own delicious combination with fillings and garnishes.  All the while you’ll be sipping on libations lovingly made by Jenna, everyone’s favorite Elevage Cupid.  Take home 6 treats to share the love with the sweets in your life.  The Whoopee Pie menu includes dutch chocolate and vanilla pies, with fillings of chocolate, vanilla, and raspberry, with assorted garnishes.  Cupcakes & Cocktails takes place from 7-9pm on Wednesday February 13, 2019 in the Epicurean Theatre, just off the lobby of the Epicurean Hotel, 1207 S. Howard Ave., Tampa FL.  $65/person, limited to 30 people.  Enjoy your south Tampa Valentine’s whoopee (pies).

Élevage Valentine’s Day Tasting Menu

Prepare for a masterpiece tasting menu from Executive Chef Chad Johnson.  Elevage’s south Tampa Valentine’s Day tasting menu in south Tampa is remarkably delicious!  This four course meal features choices from crispy oysters to duck Tasso style to Gnocchi Thermidor to Dark Chocolate Cremeux – caramelia mousse, passion fruit tapioca, huckleberry gelee!  Options for the first course include a choice of Citrus Salad – mache, endive, goat cheese, lavender honey mustard, or Crispy Oysters Rockefeller – spinach, pernod, watercress, yuzu hollandaise, or Blackened Beef Carpaccio – green tomato mostarda, burrata toast.  The second course offers a choice of Gnocchi Thermidor – lobster, pea tendrils, crispy georgia gouda, or Roasted Pheasant Breast – melted & crispy leeks, black truffle bourbon butter or Fricassee of Early Spring Vegetables – crème fraiche, morel mushroom jus.  The third course options include Herb Roasted Redfish – smoked mushroom, pinot noir reduction, or Duck in the Style of Tasso – foie gras dirty rice, okra, calvados jus, or Port Braised Beef Short Rib – basil pommes puree, bleu sunshine cheese.  Wrapping things up is the fourth course of an Artisanal Cheese Plate – sweet & sticky garnishes, or Dark Chocolate Cremeux – caramelia mousse, passion fruit tapioca, huckleberry gelee, or Strawberry Vacherin – vanilla, buttermilk, cognac syrup. A romantic dream come true because a south Tampa Valentine’s at the Epicurean hotel is more than perfect for any couple.  The tasting menu is available for $75/person.

Elevage Restaurant is located just off the lobby of the Epicurean Hotel, 1207 S. Howard Ave., Tampa FL.  Valet parking is available for a nominal fee after 5pm.
