Have you found yourself wondering when we will ever be able to experience simple enjoyments like going to live concerts again? In-person concerts may be on hold for now, but Rock the Park Tampa is getting creative and bringing the live music to your living room!
Over the past 10 years, Rock the Park has hosted countless free monthly concerts outdoors at Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park. But now with changing times, the popular concert series has transitioned to virtual concerts livestreamed from a secret location.
Each concert is held on the first Thursday of each month from 7-10 p.m. Just visit Rock the Park Tampa’s Facebook page to tune in live. You can even tip your favorite artists through Venmo by way of the virtual tip jar. This is a great way to enjoy your favorite artists by participating safely until in-person concerts resume again.
Make sure to grab a loved one or gather some friends around and tune in for the next concert on Thursday, August 6 from 7-10 p.m. August’s concert will feature local talents Have Gun Will Travel, Tribal Style, and Brian Wilkinson performing via Facebook Livestream.
Times are uncertain but even being able to enjoy small moments like these are what brings people together. Music has (and will always have) the ability to bring people together, even if it has to happen virtually.
