This one is for couples that are looking for a grand adventure and are massive lovers of live music. The 3rd annual Okeechobee Music Festival will be held in Okeechobee, FL on March 1-4 and is expected to be bigger and better than ever. For those of you who have never attended a music festival, Okeechobee is the perfect one to start with. It’s big, but not too big, and lives here in Tampa Bay, it is right around the corner!
For those who are music festival fanatics, Okeechobee Music Festival will blow your mind.
Unlike some of the music festivals out there, Okeechobee is indeed a camping festival. This means that there is music playing all day and all night and couples can get some rest at their leisure in their pitched tents on the Okeechobee campgrounds. This will have both new and old couples feeling closer than ever, as there is nothing better than hours of live music and then snuggling up in a warm tent to end the night together. The festival is 4 days and tickets can be bought as a 4-day pass. A 4-day general admission pass is $279 (plus taxes and fees). In addition, if you are planning on bringing a car, a car pass goes for $45. Single day passes are not available, however you can drive in and out with a day parking pass. Although this may seem like an expensive price for a date, it will be an experience that you and your loved one will remember for the rest of eternity.
When buying this pass, all of the following are included: 4 performance days with entry to Sunshine Grove beginning on Thursday, March 1st at 12 p.m., a camping spot, access to Campground Pods that include: general stores, portable bathrooms, and showers; access to artisan craft vendors, delicious local food, beverage vendors, yoga, workshops, speakers, and massages. As you can see, Okeechobee is much more than a music festival. It is an experience that will create a bond between couples that can never be broken.
In addition to what is listed above, Okeechobee has unique areas where couples can spend their downtime in between shows. One of these areas is called the Tea Lounge. The Tea Lounge is a closed off segment of the forest, complete with hammocks, string lights, and tapestries, and of course, tea! Festival goers come here to escape the crowds and relax with their loved ones. Another is Aquachobee, which is a manmade beach where couples can bask in the sun while listening to come-up bands jamming out.
This year’s lineup includes some of the following well-known artists: Arcade Fire, Bassnectar, Halsey, Travis Scott, Khalid, Foster the People, Leon Bridges, The Flaming Lips, Zeds Dead, Slightly Stoopid, STS9, Local Natives, Sylvan Esso, and much, much more. This year, Okeechobee is focused around alternative music of all different styles, making it appealing to all groups of people. Cozy up to your partner at bands like Judah and the Lion and get funky at Big Wild. All artists will be playing on one of Okeechobee’s three main stages: Be, Here, and Now.
Tickets are on sale and ready to be purchased by you and your significant other. Head on down to Okeechobee, FL on March 1 for the best date of all time!
