May and June can be two of the craziest months! From school ending, summer vacation, graduations, and more, there is so much going on that sometimes money can be tight! Luckily, when money feels low this May/June, check out one of these great FREE events in the Bay Area and stop feeling guilty for having fun.

NYKL Fuego Thursdays

NYKL
Every Thursday, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Don’t miss out on Fuego Thursdays at NYKL. Enjoy an upscale Latin themed night including live bands, entertainment, and DJs. Be prepared to dance the night away along to Tampa’s Best Latin Band “Sol Caribe”  and dance the Salsa, Merengue, and Bachata. Complimentary dance lessons will also be available by Tonos Latin Dance Studio.

Ladies Night

Check out Aqua every Thursday for Ladies Night! Celebrate your favorite ladies with $6 Absolut Martinis and $5 Flatbread! Plus, Aqua is located right on the bay with stunning views to celebrate.

Painting for a Purpose

The Krewe of West Tampa

Join The Krewe as you support Paint Your Heart Out! Painters of ALL levels are invited to attend and enjoy fellowship, painting, food, and more. PYHOT is a city-wide group of volunteers who work hard in painting 100 homes of seniors and veterans in the Bay Area! It is free to attend however, those wanting to paint and partake in food and drink must purchase a paid ticket.

Tampa Riverwalk Food and Art Festival

Check out the Tampa Riverwalk and enjoy 80 vendors, food trucks, and hot food booths including Vegan dishes. While you’re there, sample and buy local foods, make creative gifts, paint with local artists, enjoy live music, and so much more!

Focused, Fierce, and Free Women’s Brunch

Ladies, space is limited to this event so act fast! The Women’s Brunch will honor other females in fellowship, fun, food, and more! Be sure to check out the guest speakers including Kanita Vann, Miosha Green, and Anna Blake Matthews.  There is no cost to attend, but registering is imperative for an accurate headcount. The color theme is yellow this year, so do your best! Please note that this event is not kid friendly.

All Girls Street Hockey Clinic

Calling all girls: head out to the South Tampa YMCA for a street hockey clinic! Girls 8 and younger will play from 9-10 and girls 16 and younger will be from 10-11. The clinic is open to all girls of all skill ranges. Check-in will begin 45 minutes before each clinic led by Lightning Made staff members! Players will learn how to hold the stick, shoot and pass the puck, and any other basic hockey skill! Each clinic will host its own scrimmage and the girls will go home with their own stick and ball and ticket voucher!

The Summer Cigar Special: Cigars Conversations, and New Connections

Family Field Day

This June 22nd, Color Me Abstract will be presenting a Family Field Day at the Pioneer Museum in Dade City! This event will be full of fun family-friendly activities such as sack races, relay races, and so much more! The event will be collecting donations for Bright Hopes and Friends of Joshua’s house in place of admission. Donate unused socks, non-perishables, toiletries, or monetary donations if you feel so inclined!

Zephyrhills Summer Fest

Zephyr Park
June 22, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Head over to Zephyr Park for a day full of fun! Get there in the morning for the Morning Marker where there will be 30+ vendors on site! Then, from 4-9 p.m. don’t miss out on dance competitions, watermelon eating contests, and to finish the day, fireworks! There will also be other family-friendly activities on site with food, bounce houses, face painters, and more.
