If you and your significant other are lovers of all things Italian, look no further than Gratzzi Italian Grille in St. Petersburg for next date night. Dishing up what is believed to the best Italian food in Tampa Bay, couples are in for a treat.

The restaurant itself is cozy, classy, and comfortable. It has all the details of a fancy dining spot, yet makes couples feel right at home. The staff is friendly, helpful, and more than knowledgeable of Grattzi’s lengthy menu. Although it may be hard to choose your dish, it is assured that you and your loved one will be happy with anything on the menu.

Looking closer at the menu, Gratzzi serves up a plethora of traditional Italian classics including Italian Wedding Soup, Veal Parmesan, Pork Ossobuco, Lasagna, Shrimp Scampi, Caprese Salad, Eggplant Parmesan, and much more.

However, if you are a pasta fanatic, you really must try one of Gratzzi’s homemade pasta dishes. Local favorites include the Rigatonacci all Vodka (handmade pasta filled with herbed ricotta, tossed with crispy pancetta, sausage, and peas in an Asiago Vodka cream sauce) and the Cavatelli al Pesto Genovese (handmade ricotta pasta, fresh pesto sauce, sundried tomatoes, arugula, goat cheese, and chicken).

In addition, Gratzzi is known for its signature dish – the Cavatelli Bada Bing.

This dish includes handmade ricotta pasta, which is flambéed table-side in a gigantic Padana parmesan wheel, and complete with San Daniele prosciutto, tomatoes, and basil. This cheesy, flavorful, and decedent pasta is truly incredible and is a must-try during a visit to Gratzzi..

It is also important to note that each entreé comes with a fresh soup or salad of your choice. A hearty Italian wine list is also available to couples, as well as a specially designed cocktail list.

And of course, if you and your loved one have enough room for dessert following all the deliciousness you just consumed, you need to taste Gratzzi’s famous tiramisu. With soaked lady fingers and homemade cream, this dish literally melts in your mouth.

Due to its large portions and high quality ingredients, Gratzzi is a little pricy. Although a meal here is more than worth the money spent, Gratzzi does give couples an option to dine in earlier if you want to save a little money.

Every day of the week, there is an early dinner special that runs from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. If you and your loved one come in during this time, you will receive a house salad/soup, an entrée, AND a dessert for only $16 per person. Wine, beer, and well drinks are also served at a reduced price during early dinner.

This right here is the deal of the century. The entrée menu is a little different and much smaller during this time, but as I said earlier, anything you get from Gratzzi is unlike anything you’ve ever had before. The Italian chefs here know what they’re doing.

There you have it, folks. Rated as the “Best Italian Restaurant in St. Petersburg,” you and your loved one cannot miss out on Gratzzi Italian Grille. Make sure to make a reservation and then head on down for a meal of a lifetime.

Address: 211 2nd St. S, St. Petersburg, FL 33701
