First Friday
The first Friday of every months transforms St. Pete into an even livelier little city than usual. Walk the streets and enjoy live music, amazing drink and food specials, and a great atmosphere for a date or GNO.
When?
The first Friday of the calendar month. This means the next event is April 6, 2018.
The events start at 5:30pm and technically ends at 10pm, but we know the party can last way longer than that. There are a ton of bars and restaurants in the surrounding area to check out and try.
Where?
Most of the exciting events and specials occur on Central Avenue between 2nd and 3rd Street, but other bars and restaurants off this strip often have specials too. This is the area where you can find the live music and some food trucks. There is also security and wheelchair accessible entrances. Animals are not allowed in the designated area.
What?
First Friday is pretty much a big block party. There is live music, so bring some fold up chairs if you plan on staying by the stage for a while to listen. There are food trucks and food deals at restaurants in this area. These restaurants also tend to have drinks specials. The same can be said about the bars.
Where Can I Park?
If you aren’t lucky enough to get a spot on the street, there are plenty of parking garages surrounding the area to park. Another option is to take Uber or Lyft to the events to avoid having to find parking. Uber and Lyft are also awesome if you plan on drinking and don’t want to have a DD.
