With rainy season all around us here in the Tampa Bay area, it is important to know of all the different indoor activities we could do when it’s not so sunshiney in the sunshine state. When it’s raining, people sometimes tell you that you could go to the movies or go grab a bite to eat, but why not do both at the same time. There are some prime spots in Tampa for dinner and a show, so let’s take a look!

Early Bird Dinner Theater

Early Bird Dinner Theater is a family-run business that has been serving the Tampa Bay area for the last 25 years with quality entertainment and delicious food at an affordable price. Until July 14, they are showing the play Dixie Swim Club, which is a comedy about five Southern women and friendships that last a lifetime. The show must go on at 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. Thursday through Sunday. Their food is provided by an onsite, chef-owned, full-service catering company that has been in business for years. They also have a full-service bar right in their lobby, so you are sure to have a great time!

This includes four-course plated dinner with choices of food like Bourbon Glazed Chicken and Pasta Primavera. While you’re eating the delicious food, you are also attempting to solve a heinous crime with the audience because the criminal is right in that very room. Actors, dressed just like you, hide in the audience from the very beginning so that anyone has a chance to be a part of the show, even you! Tickets go quick, so act fast!

CineBistro

If you want a more conventional idea of dinner and a movie, head over to CineBistro in Hyde Park for a night of entertainment. There’s no need for you to have to go to two places for your movie and your dinner, so look no further! Catch the latest and hottest flicks in super comfortable rocking chairs and get meal and drink service right in your seat before the movie. There’s even a bar and lounge for you to sip on some yummy cocktails before or after your movie starts. Make sure to show up 30 minutes before your film if you want to get some in seat food and drink services to enjoy later while watching the movie!
