Grabbing a cup of coffee from cozy coffee houses in Tampa can be a great first date or spot to go to get some work done and have some quiet time. Here are just a few of our favorites to check out. A few of them have different locations as well, so you can pick whichever is more convenient for you.

The Blend Coffee & Cocktails
Multiple locations in Tampa and St. Pete
The Blend has locations in both Tampa and St. Petersburg. Whether you’re in the mood to boost your energy with one of their unique coffee creations or kick back with a craft cocktail, The Blend is the place to be. This fall, head in for their fall-themed coffees that includes a flight of four of their seasonal brews – Cold Brew Pumpkin Cold Foam, Pumpkin Latte, Peach Cobbler, and Caramel Pecan.
Felicitous Coffee & Tea

Tucked away in Temple Terrace, Felicitous is a funky, quaint cafe decorated in local art, picnic tables, and homegrown herbs onsite that are infused in their eats and coffee. This fall, stop by to check out their Vanilla Spice Latte (vanilla swirled with spiced brown sugar), Harvest Moon Cold Brew (a dash of vanilla spice and pumpkin cold brew), Oh! Canada (espresso, aromatic maple, and steamed milk), or the Maple Chai (spicy chai latte and maple).
Kahwa Coffee

Kahwa Coffee is another great coffee joint in Tampa that distributes their coffee all over. The downtown Tampa location is awesome because there is ton of indoor and outdoor seating to meet up with the girls, have a date, or read a book. There are coffee and tea options at Kahwa, so whoever you go with will find something they’ll enjoy.
Blind Tiger Coffee Roasters
Multiple locations in Tampa and Ybor
Blind Tiger Coffee Roasters started in Ybor and now has several locations around the Tampa area. This speakeasy-inspired coffee shop brews up quality, original roasts, including their fall lineup of cozy lattes. It’s the perfect place to grab a cup of coffee before your flight at the airport or sit outdoors at their Westchase cafe on a nice day.
Buddy Brew

Buddy Brew sells their coffee in a ton of coffee shops and restaurants in the Tampa area, but for a great coffee shop experience, visit Buddy Brew on Kennedy Blvd, Hyde Park Village, and their newest locating at University of South Florida. With a pretty atmosphere and good coffee, Buddy Brew is the perfect place to meet friends, have a first date, or even get some work done. Visit one of the Buddy Brew locations for a taste of local coffee.
Ginger Beard Coffee

Pop into Ginger Beard Coffee the next time you’re craving nitro-infused cold brew! That’s the specialty coffee at Ginger Beard and is full of frothy, caffeinated goodness.
Ginger Beard can be found all across the bay with Ginger Beard Coffee and Pour House on Kennedy as well as Daily Eats and Brunchies of both Tampa and Lutz with Ginger Beard on tap. Be sure to check out what makes Ginger Beard so great, we’re sure you’ll be coming back for more.
Foundation Coffee Co

Located in the up-and-coming Tampa Heights area and their new Riverview location, Foundation Coffee Co is a super cute and quaint little spot to grab a cup or cappuccino. The baristas at Foundation Coffee Co are rockstars that not only make delicious drinks, but pretty drinks, too. If you’re the kind of person that snaps a pic for Insta before taking your first sip, this is a place you need to go.
Southie Coffee
Pumpkin spice and fall flavors usually start in September

Southie Coffee is another great coffee shop locally sourced in Florida with two locations, one in Clearwater and one in Seminole. The shop offers organic espresso and coffee, vegan and gluten-free options, and so much more. Stop by on your way to a pumpkin patch or fall festival in Tampa.
The Haus Coffee Shop
12199 Indian Rocks Road, Largo, FL
The next time you’re in Largo, check out The Haus for a locally owned and operated coffee shop. It’s one of our favorite cozy coffee houses in Tampa because of their extensive menu. They also double as a bakery and deli.
Grab their Butterscotch, Toffee, Brown Sugar, or Cinnamon flavored beverage on your way to a pumpkin patch. Their coffee is roasted by hand in Tampa Bay and all of their deli meats are Boars Head.
Plus, their baked goods are also locally sourced. Basically, if you love supporting local businesses, The Haus is the perfect spot to stop into when you’re craving coffee, deli meats, or something sweet.
Caffeine Roasters

The cute white building on Kennedy Blvd. with doodles on the top used to be Drama Burger but switched to Caffeine Roasters. If you’re looking for a cozy hang out spot, this is it. There’s even a giant “C” for decoration in the center of the shop that stands for Caffeine, but could totally stand for cozy, too.
They have amazing breakfast and lunch options to try if you want to turn your coffee date into a lunch date. Check out the downtown Tampa location as well.
The Portico Coffee

Fall flavors usually start in October
The Portico Coffee is located on Florida Avenue in Tampa with a truly incredible mission. The mission of Portico is to “enhance the social, artistic, and spiritual fabric of Tampa through The Portico Café, Homeless Initiatives, Art, and Silent Meditation.”
Their drinks menu is extensive offering coffees, teas, and smoothies for your pleasure! Stop in the next time you’re on Florida Ave and experience a truly mission-filled space!
