Just because you're quarantined doesn't mean that you can't experience a great date night with your love. While we're still practicing social distancing precautions, here are some of our favorite virtual events in Tampa Bay for the month of May!

ABC Fine Wine & Spirits Virtual Tasting
ABC is hosting a series of virtual tastings where you can interact with winemakers, distillers and leaders in the industry via Zoom seminars. Limited to 100 participants each. Scheduled tastings are as follows:

  • Indaba & Jam Jar Wines : Friday, May 1, 6pm
    Join Clayton Christians as you sample Indaba Chenin Blanc and Indaba Chardonnay. Learn the story about the wines, special components of each and their unique story. Plus, learn some mixology tricks from Katie West as she uses Jam Jar wines for some delicious cocktails!
  • Zodiac Codka: Monday, May 4, 6pm
    May the Fourth be with you! Join Director of Snake River Spirits, Aaron Christiansen to mix up Livin’ La Vida Yoda, the ultimate cocktail for all Star Wars Fans. Shake and stir this and other Star Wars theme libations.
  • Cincoro: Tuesday, May 5, 5pm
    Celebrate Cinco de Mayo with Michael Jordan’s Cincoro Tequila! Join Chris Spake, current Vice President of Brand-Trade Development, as he teaches us what makes tequila unique, the influence of the terroir, how to properly taste tequila and a special Cinco de Mayo cocktail presentation.
  • Casa Dragones: Tuesday, May 5, 6:30pm
    Join tequila specialist and Sommelier Sandra Fernandez to learn about the origins of agave, the nuances and characteristics of tequila, and how to properly smell and taste tequila.

    • Alberello Wines: Wednesday, May 6, 5pm
      Join Nadia Galati while she hosts a virtual wine tasting with Sisto Tessari of La Cappuccina in Northern Italy, and Gregory Perrucci of Racemi and Felline in Southern Italy. Learn how wines are affected by regions, the two different wineries and the unique wine making techniques of each winemaker.
    • Hunter Chaps: Wednesday, May 6, 6pm
      Join Chief Innovation Officer of Precept Wine Company Phil Hurst in a Hunter Chaps virtual wine tasting. Learn about the different wine varietals, the story behind the brand and their unique winery.
    • J. Lohr Wines: Thursday, May 7, 6pm
      Join acclaimed winemaker, Kristen Barnhisel and Southeast Regional Manager, Alexandra Marshall and sample two of J. Lohr’s Chardonnays. While you’re sipping from the comfort of your own home, learn about J. Lohr’s history, Monterey’s AVA and why it produces spectacular Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs, and J. Lohr’s sustainable farming efforts.
    • Hatozaki Japanese Whiskey: Friday, May 8, 6pm
      Join Whisky Specialist Brian Johnson to discover the world of Japanese whiskies. Learn the history behind Hatozaki, Marussia Beverages and Mossburn Distillers & Blenders.
    • Wine & Cheese Pairings: Monday, May 25, 6pm
      Join ABC wine experts to learn how to match wine with cheese to impress fellow wine drinkers and future dinner friends.
    • Cigar City Brewing: Friday, May 29, 5pm
      Join Neil Callaghan, veteran, Advanced Cicerone, Certified BJCP Beer Judge and Cigar City’s Brand Manager, to learn about the history of Cigar City Brewing, the story behind the beer community in Tampa and their sour beer brewing techniques.

Virtual Supper Club with The Identity & Epicurean Hotel
Friday, May 1, 7-8:30pm
Enjoy a virtual supper club – an exciting evening filled with fantastic food and thought-provoking conversation. Executive Chef Jason Bamford and his team will prepare three courses for you, ready for pick up, then lead discussions of each dish via live stream. The evening's menu can be found here. $45

Virtual Coffee with a Curator

Moving Day – A Virtual Walk
Saturday, May 9, 1-2pm
Moving Day is an inspiring and empowering annual fundraising walk event that unites people around the country living with Parkinson’s disease (PD), their care partners and loved ones to help beat PD. Moving Day is more than just a walk. It’s a celebration of movement – proven to help manage Parkinson’s symptoms. No registration fee; however all walkers are asked to make a personal donation and/or commit to raising funds and awareness in the fight against Parkinson’s disease.

Florida Aquarium SEA-SPAN
The Florida Aquarium is allowing you to continue to “sea” what they're up to while the aquarium is closed. Check the aquarium's Facebook page for daily Facebook Live videos including stingray and baby gator feeding and a wetlands tour. Past broadcasts can be found here.

Morean Arts Center: Create with the Morean Arts Center Virtually
Enroll in classes such as photoshop for photographers or enjoy one of the two virtual tours available.

Busch Gardens is taking you behind the scenes via their Facebook page with videos featuring everything from POV roller coaster rides, a virtual Serengeti Safari, and meeting the animals that call the park home up close and personal.

The Ringling’s Museum from Home
The Ringling is allowing you to tour the Bayfront Gardens from the comfort of your home, view Art Chats, send a digital postcard, explore over 100 different species of trees using TreeKeeper, and more! You can also find Ringling archives, Ringling staff favs, and the object of the week posts on The Ringling's Facebook page.

Shine Mural Festival Virtual Tour
Explore St. Pete's multitude of murals from the comfort of your home via the SHINE Mural Festival Virtual Tour. The virtual tour allows you to see photos, watch videos and find out about the artist and the artwork.

Dalí Museum 360: Virtual Tour
The Dalí Museum is offering a free 360 virtual tour, which includes 360 viws of the gallery, community room, cafe, museum store, and the picturesque top floor.

Florida Holocaust Museum: Virtual Tour
The Florida Holocaust Museum is offering virtual tours available through their website. This virtual exhibit is a collaboration between The Florida Holocaust Museum and the University of South Florida’s Tampa Library and Department of History. The goal of the project is to bring the historical and educational resources and the visual experience of the Museum’s permanent exhibition to a wider audience and to preserve the content of the exhibition.

Tampa Bay History Center: Museum From Home
The Digital Heritage and Humanities Collections at the University of South Florida Libraries in partnership with the Tampa Bay History Center is using the latest in digital and mapping technologies to create a virtual presentation of objects, architecture, and museum exhibitions. You'll be able to see artifacts in 3D, tour exhibits, and watch a number of educational videos.
