Tampa Bay Lightning Game

If you and your loved one are Lightning fans, or simply love the game of hockey, there is no better date night than a Tampa Bay Lighting Game at the infamous Amalie Arena.

Ticket prices for any Lightning game range from about $40 to $400 depending on how close to the ice you are trying to get. However, no matter what you and your loved one decide, there really is no bad seat in Amalie Arena. Whether you are way up in the stands or in arm’s length of the players, a good time watching some excellent hockey is guaranteed. Ticket information can be found online at Tampa Bay Lightning and due to the team’s popularity, it is advised that you and your significant other buy your tickets beforehand.

Now let’s talk food. While you’re watching the Lightning players skate, pass, and score, you may get a little hungry. Amalie Arena offers couples a wide variety of food choices, including your standard cheeseburgers, pizza, hot dogs, and fries, but also much more than that. Places like the Holy Hog are dishing out freshly smoked brisket and homemade mac and cheese, while PDQ serves up fresh chicken tenders and sandwiches. You also don’t want to miss out on Poutine! Trust me. In addition, places like World of Beer offer a wide selection of craft beer for couples to enjoy. Grab one of these delicious options and a tallboy, of course, before settling in your seats.

Poutine

If you are looking for a perfect spot to enjoy a bite before or after the game, you and your loved one must try Hattricks – located right by Amalie. This unique pub is known to have the best hot wings in Tampa and even have a “Lightning” sauce that is absolutely to die for. And every day from 4-8 p.m. wings are only 85 cents apiece. This along with many cheap beer specials makes Hattricks a must-visit for Lightning fans.

In terms of parking, there are many parking garages close to the arena. Parking is never an issue and only costs around $10 per car, which is more than reasonable for downtown parking.

There is nothing like a Tampa Bay Lightning game. With some of the most loyal fans in the country, the energy in the arena come game day is something all those living in Tampa Bay should experience. Grab your significant other, put on your blue and white, and head down to Amalie Arena for the best sports date there is.
