Music lovers rejoice! There’s nothing like holding the hand of the one you love most while listening to some great music. The beginning of fall means cooler weather for Florida and the coming of some fantastic October concerts. Whether you’re into country, pop, or hip-hop, October means you can enjoy some of the music you love with the person you love.

Here’s a list of some October concerts to look out for.

Funktober Fest 2018

Oct. 5 – 8

If you’re a fan of funk, head out to Maddox Ranch in Lakeland for Funktober Fest. This is a three-day, three-night funk fest dedicated to the fans and created by fans of funk. Bands like The Reality, Holy Miss Moley, and Custard Pie will all be in attendance but there’s more than music to enjoy! This funk filled weekend will be jam packed with live art, workshops, and even a bounce house village and game zone so you can find your inner kid again.

Kid Rock and Brantley Gilbert

Oct. 12

Country fans will be happy to know that Kid Rock will be performing with Bradley Gilbert at the MIDFLORIDA Credit Union Amphitheatre. Come out for some rock n’ roll and country.

Kevin Gates at Janice Live!

Oct. 13

If you and your man are rap fans, the Luca Brasi 3 Tour includes some big names in an excellent setting. Janus Live is located in the heart of St. Pete, so you can really make a date night out of this concert.

Camping with the Blues 2018

Oct. 19 – 21

Grab your tent and hammock because you’re camping with the blues. While camping is optional, you’ll be tempted to stay the weekend in the gorgeous forest setting located in Brooksville. This is the 5th Annual Camping with the Blue’s Festival and includes many popular and new names in blues for you to enjoy!

Bob Dylan and his Band Ruth Eckerd

Oct. 20

Bob Dylan returns to Ruth Eckerd Hall after his last sold out show! This Grammy Award winning artist will be performing classics like Blowin’ in the Wind, Like a Rollin’ Stone, and new releases like Fallen Angels. If you and your date are Bob Dylan fans, this is the concert for you.

Suwanee Hulaween

Oct. 26 – 28

Grab your man’s hand and get ready for a weekend of jazz, funk, pop, electronic, and R&B! Suwannee Hulaween is returning to Live Oak with an impressive lineup that appeals to a wide array of tastes. Headliners include The String Cheese Incident, Odesza, Jamiroquai, and Janelle Monae. This festival is Halloween themed so make sure to grab your couple costumes.
