2026 is on the horizon, closer than you think! And there are so many New Year's Eve events in Tampa Bay, but we're sharing something unique! Level up to a brand new year with MOSI—during the day! Yup, you read that right, MOSI is hosting its Quantum Countdown presented by PNC Bank on December 31, 2025, midday. And tickets are on sale now!
Step into a video game-inspired world of science and discover with this New Year's Eve event, held from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., perfect for those who aren't night owls!

Quantum Countdown is a great way to experience the scientific greatness of MOSI! Admission is $20 for adults, $15 for children ages 3-17, and free for MOSI members. The best part is that admission is good for the whole day, not just the New Year's event!
Included with admission is the Karaoke Zone, interactive science demos, shows in the planetarium, a scavenger hunt, a video game craft station, a silent auction, live music from a DJ, and more.
You can also take a delightful journey through time and space with planetarium shows at 12:45 p.m. and 4 p.m.
One of our personal favorite things to do is take a peek through the solar telescopes on the rooftop, and this is a great keepsake photo to remember the day!
There will also be plenty of vendors, treats, and themed beverages from the Beakers Bar throughout the day.
The specialty Quantum Countdown, which is a ticket add-on for $10 at the box office, will take place inside the planetarium at 11:30 a.m. and 2:45 p.m. There will be a free Toast to the Future taking place at noon and 3 p.m.
Make it a full day of MOSI!
With so much fun happening, and a ticket that's good all day, you might as well just make the entire day all about MOSI! This is also a great way to explore the rest of MOSI's exhibits and experiences with your significant other. We personally love the LIVECycles Butterfly Garden.
If you spend a good portion of the day at the museum, consider some delicious BBQ from Station House BBQ. Trust us, it's delish!
