There are quite a few breweries in Downtown Tampa, and many are within a short Uber away from one another. Instead of visiting one brewery or driving on your next mini brew tour date, Uber instead! Allowing you to sample more beers without the worry of driving home! Or, if you manage to get a night away, stay in one of the many hotels located in downtown. Here are four that are close together and provide a fun date day or night out!

Start near Ybor at Coppertail Brewery Co. and make your way across downtown Tampa to Tampa Bay Brewing Company, Late Start Brewing and end the night at Hidden Springs Ale Works near Water Works park just north of downtown. Or plan it in reverse!

Coppertail Brewery Co.

Taste-test one (or more!) beers in Coppertail’s full-service bar. Open since 2014, they brew everything from porters and lagers, to sours and pilsners. No matter what type of beer you enjoy, you are sure to find something. Only natural carbonation and whole leaf hops are used, and the beers are unfiltered in order to give you a more flavorful beer. You can drink your beer on their back deck that overlooks all of Downtown for a more romantic feel. There is also a satellite restaurant that sells small plates to share if you just need a quick snack or order a full meal. There are limited tours during the week, but there are many weekend tours that can accommodate your date day or date night schedule. The tours feature a beer to take on the tour, other beer samples, and a souvenir pint glass that you can remember your date by!

Tampa Bay Brewing Company

Tampa Bay Brewing Company opened in 1995 and specializes in brewing flavorsome and hops-centric IPAs, APAs, sours, and fruity Florida-Weisse. There are two locations, one in Westchase and one in Ybor, so you can visit whichever one is most convenient. It’s original brewpub in Ybor features 24 rotating taps that feature pilot batches, seasonal releases, and all-year favorites. If you get hungry, there is a full kitchen that makes beer-infused food. (You heard me right!) You can even bring your pooch on date night, as the patio is dog friendly! Visit on Thursdays at 4pm for new releases and on Friday or Saturday nights for beer-infused specials! Most Friday nights feature live music on the patio as well.

Late Start Brewing

Late Start Brewing started out in a Tampa garage, by two Tampa natives, in 2012. Now, they work with Pour House to brew and serve their beer. The now-trio also have jobs at other breweries in the Tampa Bay area allowing them to have a vast knowledge of beer. There are currently nine beers on tap at Pour House you can try. And since you won’t be driving home, you won’t have to worry about the two flights it takes to try them!

Hidden Springs Ale Works

Hidden Springs is a craft brewery that was founded by two Tampa natives and opened its doors in 2015. Friday and Saturday nights, they are open until 12 a.m. which makes them perfect for a last stop of the night. The brewery may still be new, but they have a 4.8, out of 5, star rating on Facebook, so they know what their doing. Hidden Springs brews a lot of fruity beers, including fun flavors like Electric Pegasus, a rainbow sherbet Berliner with blood oranges, raspberries, limes and milk sugar.
