Businesses and parks throughout Tampa Bay are preparing for different levels of impact from Hurricane Milton. Some venues have decided to close out of caution or to evaluate any damage, while some have opened back up to the public.

What’s Open and What’s Closed in Tampa Bay

Tampa International Airport: Closed

Tampa International Airport is closing at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 8, and will resume operations when it is safe to do so. 

St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport: Closed

Hurricane Milton Update – St. Pete / Clearwater Airport to close after last flight departs Tuesday. All flights cancelled Wednesday and Thursday.

Busch Gardens Tampa Bay: Closed

Busch Gardens Tampa Bay will be closed on Tuesday 10/8 and Wednesday 10/9. For any ticket questions, please contact BGA.GuestInformation@seaworld.com.

ZooTampa: Closed

Due To Inclement Weather, The Zoo Will Be Closed Tuesday, October 8 – Thursday, October 10

The St. Pete Pier: Closed

Due to Hurricane Milton, the Discovery Center will be closed starting Monday, October 7th.

Florida State Park Closures

Multiple Florida State Parks are closed due to Hurricane damage and preparations. Get updates at floridastateparks.org/StormUpdates.

Sunken Gardens: Closed

Sunken Gardens will be closed starting Monday, October 7 and remain closed through Wednesday, October 9

Straz Center: Closed

The Straz Center will be closed Tuesday, Oct. 8 through Thursday, Oct. 10 in anticipation of Hurricane Milton.
▪️ The scheduled performances of THE BOY WHO LOVED BATMAN from Tuesday, Oct. 8 through Thursday, Oct. 10 are canceled. Ticketholders will be contacted.
▪️ Classes and activities at the Patel Conservatory are canceled from Tuesday, Oct. 8 through Thursday, Oct. 10.
▪️ Conditions permitting, the plan is to reopen on Friday, Oct. 11

Florida Aquarium: Closed

The aquarium will close closed to the public Tuesday, October 8 – Thursday, October 10.

The Dali Museum: Closed

The Dali will be closed Monday – Thursday, October 10.

For those interested in visiting The Dalí Museum virtually, TheDali.org/Virtual includes materials to engage audiences.

Clearwater Marine Aquarium: Closed

CMA will be closed until further notice.

Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority (PSTA): Limited 

PSTA is operating with limited service. Please visit their website for route info.

Hillsborough County Public Libraries: Closed

All library locations in Evacuation Zone A and B will close today, Monday, October 7 at 2:30 PM, until further notice.

DISNEY WORLD CLOSURES

All Disney theme parks, Disney Springs, and water parks will remain open and operating under normal conditions. Please continue to check back for updates.

UNIVERSAL ORLANDO CLOSURES

All Universal parks are operating as usual.
