Mark your calendars with all of the upcoming events that the Florida Orchestra has to offer this November and December 2018! The Florida Orchestra has been beloved for exactly fifty years this year, dazzling fans and new comers alike every single season! The mission of TFO is “to enrich the life of the Tampa Bay area as it inspires, entertains, and educates a wide and diverse audience with the unique experience of live symphonic music, ensuring that future generations will continue to enjoy this legacy that so magnificently celebrates the human spirit” (The Florida Orchestra).

This November and December, be sure to check out their multitude of events listed starting with one of their Coffee Concerts called Broadway starting November 1st.  Head over at 11 a.m. for free coffee and donuts and enjoy beloved selections from Fiddler on the Roof, Phantom of the Opera, Slaughter on 100th Avenue and more conducted by the talented Stuart Malina at the Mahaffey Theater.

Right on the heels of Broadway is Raymond James Pops: Disney in Concert- Tale as Old as Time perfect for the Disney lovers hoping to experience a magical journey into classic music and stories from the ageless tales from Disney. There will be four performances of this magical show hosted at the Straz Center, Mahaffey Theater, and Ruth Eckerd Hall. Be sure to check out other exciting and musically talented shows throughout November.

This December be sure to follow up with all new events starting with Star Wars: A New Hope in Concert on December 1st at Ruth Eckerd Hall. Experience the continued impacts of Star Wars on the world with its action-packed, mythic stories, lovable characters, seismic special effects, and of course the nostalgic musical scores composed by Williams!

If you’re looking for a holiday inspired event, be sure to check out Holiday Pops featuring the vocal stylings of American Idol star and St. Pete native, Michael Lynche. This three day performance will fill every spirt with the holiday season just in time for all of the festivities starting on December 14th through December 16th with locations at the Straz Center, Mahaffey Theater, and Ruth Eckerd Hall.

To end the holiday season with a bit of comedic cheer, be sure to check out Home Alone in Concert based on the beloved comedic classic. Composed by John William’s be enamored by his charming, nostalgic scores performed live by The Florida Orchestra on December 12st at Ruth Eckerd Hall.

The Florida Orchestra ’s annual 100 concerts are incredible year after year! There is truly a performance for everyone this year with timeless classics and newer influences.
