Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful (KTBB) is proud to announce its highly anticipated annual After Gasparilla Cleanup event on January 26, 2025, aimed at preserving the beauty and health of Tampa Bay’s cherished waterways and public spaces.
This year’s event is generously sponsored by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Suzuki Marine and powered by Michelob Ultra. In a significant expansion of the initiative, KTBB will be hosting cleanups at seven locations across Tampa—an increase from the traditional four sites!
What a way to celebrate and honor Gasparilla in Tampa Bay!
The cleanup sites for this year include:
- Fred Ball Park
- Bern’s Park
- Hyde Park Bank of America
- Kate Jackson Rec Center (media site)
- Tampa Riverwalk (new site)
- Jackson Bistro (new site)
- SOHO near MacDinton’s Irish Pub (new site)
Additionally, Adventure Outfitters will lead a dive cleanup site at the Garrison Channel, which will focus on removing submerged debris from the waterway.
Call for Volunteers
This year, KTBB is calling on the community to help surpass last year’s achievements and keep Tampa Bay bead-free! Volunteers of all ages are welcome, and KTBB will provide all necessary cleanup supplies, including gloves, trash bags, and safety vests.
Participants will also receive free giveaways and event shirts, while supplies last.
“The After Gasparilla Cleanup is one of our largest and most impactful events of the year,” said Kristina Moreta. “With the support of our incredible sponsors, partners, and volunteers, we can make a tangible difference in preserving Tampa Bay’s natural beauty and protecting its wildlife.”
Last year’s After Gasparilla Cleanup brought together 430 volunteers, who collected an impressive 9,225 pounds of trash, 5,600 pounds of recyclables, and 580 pounds of beads, filling 369 trash bags in total. The collective effort of the volunteers was valued at $38,635.50.
