Summer in Tampa is brutal, and one of our favorite ways to beat the heat is Aqua Glow at Adventure Island!
If you're looking for a cheap and fun date night, Aqua Glow is where you want to be! This awesome event takes place on select nights until August 8, 2026, from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Our 4 Favorite Things About Aqua Glow at Adventure Island
1. Limited Capacity, Low Wait Times
Since Aqua Glow is an after-hours event, there is limited park capacity, which means the wait times for the water slides are slim to none. We didn't wait longer than 5 minutes on a Friday, talk about epic!
Check out the map for all the water slide locations! Wahoo! (Remix) and Riptide were two of our favorite slides. Riptide is a fun way to duel your partner or your friends!
2. Chill Vibes
Since there are low wait times, there's no stress to run around and try to hit every slide! We were able to experience all the rides and spend a good amount of time in the wave pool and lazy river. The lazy river was one of the best parts of the night, complete with the neon lights and music!
The evening weather is also the perfect temperature so you're not baking in the sun or running from place to place to avoid the cold chill!
3. Exclusive Summer Bites
From Tiki Jello Shots to Glow Buttercream Cupcakes and Aqua Glow Sliders, there are delicious snacks that are totally shareable with your date. We totally recommend the Neon Wave Nachos, they were delicious!
4. Affordable Tickets
For those of us staying in the Tampa Bay Area for the summer, this is a super affordable way to “staycation” without breaking the bank! Tickets for the event start at $39.99 per adult, and you can even add on any meal + a fountain drink for $10.
Aqua Glow is also a great opportunity for a giant group date! Groups of 15 or more people get a discounted rate, with tickets starting at $34.99 per person.
