5 Places in Busch Gardens to Stay Cool
1. Giraffe Bar at Serengeti Overlook
With panoramic views of the Serengeti Plain and an indoor/outdoor setting, the Giraffe Bar is a perfect place to cool off with a cocktail. The indoor area is air-conditioned, making it a great midday escape.
And even if the indoor tables are full, the outdoor overlook as some nice fans and tables with umbrellas.
Bonus: You might spot giraffes wandering by while you sip.

2. Indoor Theater Shows
When the sun is blazing, head into one of the park’s indoor theaters for a break in the A/C. From musical performances to stunt shows, the indoor entertainment options let you rest your feet and enjoy a bit of drama without the heat.

BONUS IDEA: If you visit during a time when there aren't many live shows taking place indoors, try to stop by the Animal Care Center. Open daily from 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. this interesting exhibit is usually pretty quiet and a neat way to get some air conditioning and learn something new.

3. Splash Zone at SheiKra
You don’t have to ride SheiKra to enjoy the refreshing splashdown. Near the coaster’s dramatic final run, there’s a misty viewing area where you can catch some cooling spray and a big splashdown.
You will get drenched if you get up close!

4. Lory Landing Atrium
Step into the shaded aviary of Lory Landing, where colorful lorikeets fly freely. This semi-enclosed area is covered and surrounded by lush greenery, offering a bit of shade and breeze. It's an original attraction that evokes the old Florida style of the original Busch Gardens.
You can even feed the birds (for a small fee) — a playful, unexpected date idea.

5. Underwater and Animal Viewing Areas
Besides Lory Landing, there are multiple animal habitats throughout Busch Gardens. The Serengeti area, for example, has multiple shaded spots where you can view incredible animals and get out of the sun. Take the time to explore!
