Tampa Bay Cat Café’s

1. Cats and Caffeine

4033 Henderson Blvd., Tampa Bay, FL 33629 | CatsCaffeine.com

Why opt for a standard dinner and show when you can have coffee and cats?!? Cats and Caffeine is a cute coffeehouse where you can get your caffeine fix as well as your fix of kitty cuddles. Sip hot beverages and nosh on sweet nibbles, as rescued and adoptable felines roam about the pretty pink shop.

Reserve a purrrrfect date with a one-hour experience ($22/person). Or check out a Cats and Caffeine hosted event, such as kitten yoga or movie night (both priced at $32).

2. Feline

12924 N. Dale Mabry Hwy., Tampa, FL 33618 | FelineCBL.com

Feline describes its warm and whimsical space as having a “vibey atmosphere that offers wine, beer, tapas and European desserts” with, of course, adoptable cats.

If you’re ready to fully commit to a feline-forward date night, book a 60-minute session ($25/person). If you’re kind of a scaredy cat just looking to scratch the surface, go with a 30-minute session ($15/person).

3. Sassy Cat Café

735 W. Lumsden Rd., Tampa Bay, FL 33511 | SassyCatClubCafe.com

The namesake of this Tampa Bay cat café may be Sassy… but its owner, who happens to be a certified veterinary technician and holds a bachelor’s degree in veterinary technology, loves promoting the soothing benefits of cat cafes and cat therapy.

Studies have shown that interacting with animals, including cats, can positively impact one’s mental health. The simple act of petting a flurry feline can help lower blood pressure, reduce stress levels and increase the production of feel-good hormones like oxytocin and serotonin. Sounds promising for date night, right?

A one-hour reservation for this cat lounge costs $15/person. A 30-minute option is just $10/person. Yoga with cats has a $25 admission fee. The Sassy Cat Café partners with the nonprofit A Kitten Place

4. Botany Cats

5. Kitty Cat Lounge

946 E. Orange St., Lakeland, FL 33801 | KittyCatLounge.com

The owner of this Tampa Bay cat café admits that the name, Kitty Cat Lounge, kind of sounds like a strip club. LOL! But that’s a much different kind of date night blog than we’re penning. At this much more laidback locale, “cats and humans merge for happy feelings and purrfect vibes.” It’s priced at $7.49 for 30 minutes and $12.84 for 60 minutes.

Be sure to peek at the online calendar because this lounge has lots of fun events, such as sip and paint, open mic night, LGBTQIA+ meet-ups and more. Plus, Kitty Cat partners with area food and beverage establishments to stock their café. You’ll find beer options from 3 Daughters Brewing, for example, and gluten-free yummies from Patty’s Crumbs, among others.

6. Catnip Café & Louge

202 S. Collins St., Plant City, FL 33563 | CatnipCafePC.com

Plant City residents and visitors can plant themselves in this cat café and lounge for an hour for $12. Better yet, if you know a bunch of cat ladies (or gentleman), you can exclusively reserve the entire lounge for an hour for up to nine cat-loving companions for just $90.

As a reminder, just like catnip makes kitties feel good… caffeinated coffee is scientifically proven to make people feel good too!

7. Purrology Café

5343 South FL Ave., Lakeland, FL 33809 | PurrologyCafe.com

First off, the beverage selection at Purrology is a-meow-zing. Try the lavender matcha or sparkling lemonade. Hour-long sessions in the cat lounge cost $12. FYI, you can also book private parties (maximum of 20 people) if you ever envisioned your wedding shower, birthday party or other celebration to include both friends and felines.
