The Epicurean Hotel is the hotspot for cutting edge fun and leisure on South Howard Ave, and its on-property restaurant Élevage is no exception. Executive Chef Chad Johnson aims to cook food that reminds you of your childhood but with a modern twist. This allows Élevage to push the boundaries of lunch and breakfast by offering an upgraded brunch menu that is a must try for brunch enthusiasts everywhere.
For the adventurer at heart.
Élevage has more in store than booze and breakfast food. Go exotic with the Chilaquiles. These crispy tortillas are paired with duck egg, duck confit, poblano pepper, tomatillo, avocado, and jack cheese. Burrata, Prosciutto, and Grilled Melon with ciabatta, calabrian chili jam, and basil is a delectable dish on it’s own, or add a side of bacon for an extra brunch-y feel.
Feeling fishy? The Dill Roasted Salmon with melted leeks, asparagus, preserved lemon, and almond fondue might be just right for you. Savor the Shrimp & Grits consisting of peppers, scallion, pork belly, and soft-cooked egg, or treat yourself with Lobster & Soft Scrambled Eggs.
Something old with something new.
Shake up old brunch favorites in new form with Élevage’s Brunch Burger. This favorite is made with dry-aged beef, fried egg, country ham, tomato, and expresso mayonnaise in convenient, no-mess burger form.
Élevage also offers classic brunch items such as Sourdough Pancakes, Avocado Toast, Steak House Benedict, and Biscuits & Gravy. These may pair great with Bellini’s and Mimosas, but mix up your brunch routine with a specialty cocktail. The Berries in Mexico consists of espolon reposado tequila, fresh squeezed grapefruit & lime juice, and strawberries. Cucumber Gimlet’s are just as refreshing made with either gin or vodka, or get your bubbly fix with a blood orange Blame it On the Aperol.
The menu at Élevage often changes their menu to reflect the seasons, so keep an eye out for new and exciting brunch items. You never know what could make an appearance!
