Enjoy a break from the hustle and bustle and head to one of the many Tampa Bay restaurants with green gardens and cozy courtyards. While many restaurants in the Tampa Bay area offer outdoor dining options, only a few provide a truly intimate setting where you can escape for a few hours to enjoy your feast.

Restaurant BT

It’s one of the few — and perhaps the only — restaurants in Tampa that serves French-Vietnamese fusion cuisine. Restaurant BT also has its own garden where chefs grow and pick tomatoes, peppers, herbs, and other meal prep necessities. You’ll enjoy white table dining at this contemporary restaurant and can settle into the courtyard under the palm trees for an al fresco dining experience.

Ceviche St. Pete

You wouldn’t guess that Ceviche Tapas Bar and Restaurant – tucked inside an old building in downtown St. Pete – offers outdoor seating, but you can head to the courtyard to enjoy your fill of paella, Spanish tapas and sangria. The venue is decorated with Iberian decor to create a semi-authentic Spanish dining experience. The restaurant also hosts live music on many nights. So grab a drink and enjoy some local performances while you’re there.

Gaspar’s Grotto serves up plenty of grilled favorites, beer, and cocktails in an open-air courtyard that you can access right from the street. This is also a popular destination for live music. If margaritas and burritos are on your radar, sneak off to the courtyard at Miguel’s Mexican Restaurant to enjoy outdoor seating in a more intimate setting. The courtyard has a beautiful water feature decorated with mosaic artwork and a full bar for refills on your favorite cocktails. This is the spot to enjoy Kobe beef fajitas and Ixtapa, a combination of lobster tails and fajitas.

Enjoy outdoor seating at Jackson’s Bistro Bar & Sushi, a popular waterfront destination near the Marriott hotel. The courtyard features canopied seating areas and tables with umbrellas. This is a popular destination for brunch and you’ll enjoy a diverse menu of Asian fusion cuisine for lunch or dinner. If you’re here during the evening, the venue turns into a nightclub so plan on heading to the dance floor after dinner and cocktails.
