Celebrate 813 Day in Tampa Bay: Deals, Discounts, and Events

Tuesday is August 13th (8/13) which means it’s time to celebrate 813 Day in Tampa Bay! And once again, Sparkman Wharf is getting ready to play host to this year’s festivities for the fifth year in a row along with Tampa Mayor Jane Castor.

Sparkman Wharf is one of our favorite spots for a waterfront date and is also the perfect setting to celebrate our awesome city.

Although the official day falls on Tuesday 8/13, the celebration will last for 10 days with a social media fundraiser benefitting the Tampa Bay History Center.

How to Celebrate 813 Day

813 Day will kick off with a social media fundraiser benefiting The Tampa Bay History Center. This year’s dedication to the Tampa History Center is special because the History Center has long served as a leading cultural venue and anchor of the Tampa Riverwalk.

Sparkman Wharf will donate $5 (up to $1,000) for every photo taken in front of the decorated Sparkman Wharf TAMPA sign posted on social media from August 9 – August 18.

In partnership with Tampa Bay Watch, every oyster shell from “The Watch 813” will be donated to the Shells for Shorelines program, transforming them into valuable tools for shoreline restoration.
