Do you and your loved one have a passion for theatre? If so, make sure to check out the American Stage Theatre Company at their home stage, Raymond James Theatre in St. Pete, for the premier of Between Riverside & Crazy. The Theatre prides itself on always telling compelling, meaningful, and powerful stories to its audience members. And as Tampa Bay’s longest running professional theatre company, couples are in for a show unlike all the rest.

For the next month (Oct. 3 – Nov. 4), The Theatre will be putting on the show Between Riverside & Crazy – a story of the ex-cop and widower Walter “Pops” Washington and his recently paroled son Junior. Together, they have spent their lifetimes living “between Riverside and crazy.” However, things take a sour turn, and very quickly they are holding onto one of the last great rent-controlled apartments in the area. In order to stay afloat, the two are forced to “hustle out loud.”

With a combination of humor, ultimatums, and loss, you and your loved one will be drawn into this story from the start. According to the New York Times, Between Riverside & Crazy is “Somewhere south of cozy and north of dangerous, west of sitcom and due east of tragedy.”

Written by Stephen Adly Guigus and directed by Benjamin T. Ismail, American Stage is excited to bring this story to life.

Tickets for Between Riverside & Crazy start at $44 per person and can be purchased online at American Stage Theatre Company. Performances will begin at 7 p.m. on Wednesdays/Thursdays and 8 p.m. on Fridays/Saturdays. In addition, Sunday matinees start at 2 p.m. sharp.

You and your loved one are in for a real treat with Between Riverside & Crazy. The American Stage Theatre Company can’t wait to see you there.

Address: Raymond James Theatre, 163 3rd St. N, St. Petersburg, FL 33701
