St. Patty’s Day In The Bay

St. Patty's Day

St. Patty’s Day

We all love a night out at a bar with an Irish name filled with good beer and good friends. St. Patty’s Day gives us an excuse to stay out a little later and celebrate a little more, though, at our favorite places. If you are at a loss for what to do on Saturday the 17th, check out the list below.

Mayor’s River O’Green Fest

Every year, the Hillsborough River turns green to help the citizens of Tampa celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. This year is even more special, though, because the celebration actually lands on the holiday. Because St. Patrick’s Day is on a Saturday this year, the city will be able to celebrate properly and go all out. There will be live music, food, and drinks along Tampa’s River Walk for guests to enjoy.

Lucky’s St. Patrick’s Day Crawl

If you are looking to start the party a little early, get your tickets to Lucky’s St. Patrick’s Day Crawl. This bar crawl starts at 6pm on March 16th and ends at 2am on March 17th, if you make it that long. Tickets are $10 and include a free drink or shot at registration and free cover to Kelly Days Firehouse Tavern, Gaspar’s Grotto, The Brass Tap – Ybor, Double Decker Pub, The Bad Monkey, and First Chance Last Chance Bar. There will also be photographer’s at all spots the bar crawl includes to capture the craziest of moments.

Paddyfest is a huge St. Patrick’s Day celebration that has multiple parties throughout Tampa. Check out your local Irish 31 for the party or Ferg’s Live. Paddyfest is the spot for an all day party and includes things like Kegs and Eggs, K-9s in Kilts, and a car bomb wing eating challenge. There will also be live music by headliners Magic Giant, Love and Theft, and We The Kings.

The Dubliner

The Dubliner is a great spot to check out any day because of their great food and drink specials, but this cute little bar at the end of Soho gets even more special on St. Patty’s Day. Lunch specials start at 11am, as well as live music and giveaways. The Dubliner is not only a great place to have fun, but also to give back. Dogs from The Humane Society will be at the party on Saturday the 17th to be adopted. If adoption is not something you can do, then bring a bag of dog food weighing 7lbs or more to donate and get a free beer.
