Chances are, you’ve already seen pictures or heard of this famous tourist attraction. It is the Southernmost Point of the continental United States, after all. So while you’re in Key West, it’s practically a requirement to visit this location and snap a picture with the well-known buoy. While here, you can also enjoy the beautiful ocean views. Also, fun fact, there is a live webcam you can use to check out the buoy and see how busy it is before going.

Ernest Hemingway Home and Museum

The Ernest Hemingway Home and Museum has a lot more history than you would think. At this very building, the famous author, Ernest Hemingway, lived for over 10 years before he was as known as he is now. There are even rumors that he wrote some of his famous works while living in this very house. While on your vacation to Key West, this museum tour would make for a great stop.

Dry Tortugas National Park

Taking a ferry 70 miles out to sea from Key West will get you to the awe inspiring Dry Tortugas National Park. The actual park consists of a total of 7 different small islands. Within these islands, you’ll find the main attraction: Fort Jefferson. While there, you can also enjoy a variety of activities, including guided tours, snorkeling, bird watching, overnight camping and more.
