Virtual Reality is the New Reality at iFLY

virtual reality

If you don’t want to commit to jumping out of a plane at 12,500 feet, but still want to experience the thrill of free falling, then iFly is the perfect date day idea for you. And with their new virtual reality offering the experience is taken to a whole new level!

What can you expect?

If you have been to iFLY before you can expect a similar experience. A regular flight to learn or refresh the basics. A high-flight (led by an experienced instructor) to give you a more advanced flight. And an additional Virtual Reality flight with the scene of your choosing. Fly through the alps, explore the world, or even fly your own dragon with their special How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World flight option.

**We tried it for ourselves and yes, it is as cool as it sounds!

This activity allows you to soar and be completely immersed in an actual skydiving scene, while wearing a state-of-the-art VR helmet and headset. If you have used virtual reality before, you are fully aware that you are being immersed in another world and are essentially blind to your real surroundings. Therefore, you will have an instructor holding onto you and guiding you through your virtual reality experience. They can see exactly what you are seeing on an external screen and will tilt and guide you so you get the most authentic experience possible.

This VR experience is available for people ages 6 to 70 and up to 260 lbs.

What is the cost?

Virtual Reality is purchased as an add-on to any 2+ flight package. If you are looking to do the How to Train Your Dragon flight, you can get a two person, 2 flight & VR package price of $173.90 +tax. For one of the other virtual reality options, it comes out to $193.90 +tax for two people.

If you want to skip the virtual reality, 2 flights per person, for two people is available for $119.90 +tax. Other options, pricing, details and specials are available on their website. You can also do groups, events, purchase videos and photos, and more!
